Meet the newest addition to my shoe collection. I got these tan Alexander McQueen menacle sandals in London Heathrow Airport the day I arrived in the UK. I had such an awful experience in the plane (colds. cough. headache. babies crying) and an equally crappy time in the airport (Uh, I used the disabled toilet so I'd have more space to dress up and accidentally pulled on the emergency string instead of the flush. The alarm sounded off and next thing I knew there was a throng of airport security in front of me. Let's just say that they were not pleased to see a non-disabled woman who did not know the difference between the two strings emerge from the toilet!). As if things couldn't get any worse, I had to wait like
forever for my connecting flight to Edinburgh.
Really, the only thing that made me survive the whole unfortunate ordeal were these shoes.
When I saw them, my mood instantly lifted up and I was fine again.
I'm alive today thanks to these shoes. Haha!
Oh, if only I could fast forward to summer. :D
